Some assessments of the South West

  • The female syndicate of 47 women   « HIGH HEELS Racings » has 3 horses in training in South-West France with the young trainers Hector de Lageneste (hurdle racing) and the Italian Simone Brogi (flat racing), both working on the traing center of Sers in Pau. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2pU7-_EIOlPdU90cU5fVGxEWmM

  • « I  have the responsibility of managing the racing careers of the horses of Shadwell Stud (owner Hamdam Al Maktoum). Shadwell has now had horses in training in Pau for the last seven years. Our best horses are with Jean-Claude Rouget and François Rohaut. The amenities at Pau are top class, with a very well run training centre. Pau’s location is ideally suited for sending horses to run at all the good regional race-tracks, and the excellent climate with its mild winters means that we can run all the year round. On top of all that, the food is really top class, and I would strongly recommend a discovery of the delights of Pau. »

  • « The importance of the horse sector makes the south west a centre of excellence. The success of trainers from the south west is undeniable. The quality of our races and our horses has upgraded, and that has attracted international clients (USA, Arab Emirates tec.) to our region. »

  • « The south west is an essential destination. We have beautiful countryside, the sea at no distance, quality gastronomy and famous wines. For these reasons, my owners love coming to see their horses. We are now lucky enough to attract new international clients from the all over the world. Under no circumstances would I want to leave the beautiful south west. »
